Tibetan tingsa
Tingshas are commonly used in meditation and ritual practices in Tibetan Buddhism, as their distinctive sound is said to have spiritual and healing properties.
They are traditionally used in the Himalayan regions of Tibet, Bhutan, India and Nepal.
They are also used in sound healing practices (sound therapy), since their sound vibrations promote relaxation, reduce stress and balance energy.
This pair of tingsha (Tibetan cymbals) are made of bronze and decorated with Buddhist symbols. The diameter of each cymbal is approximately 72mm. They are linked together by a leather cord of approximately 30 cm in length.
